Ian is a graduate of the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College in Edinburgh. In 1991, on completion of post-graduate training in small-animal surgery at the University of Melbourne, he established South Australia's first referral-only surgical practice, Veterinary Surgical Referrals. He became a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in 1993, by examination in small-animal surgery.
From 2002 until 2017, Ian provided a referral service for dogs and cats with neurological and neurosurgical conditions
Ian now focuses on clinical assessment and diagnostic investigation of dogs and cats afflicted by neurological conditions. Patients are accepted by referral from veterinarians across South Australia.
NeuroVet’s specialised facilities enable Ian to offer a wide range of services to his patients.
As a member of both the European Society of Veterinary Neurology and the Veterinary Neurosurgical Society, and by regular attendance at neurological conferences in Australia and overseas, Ian ensures that he keeps abreast of latest developments in the field.
Ian also provides a Magnetic Resonance Imaging service for non-neurological cases.
Senior Veterinary Nurse
Robyn is a highly trained (Certificate IV) veterinary nurse. She has worked with Ian as senior nurse since 1999 and has a wealth of practical experience in caring for pets with neurological problems.
Robyn’s commitment to our patients ensures that they receive attentive, high quality, nursing care.
